the site has excellent facilities (most of which are open from April –
September)

forests are perfect for cycling and walking
and the lake provides sailing and windsurfing opportunities.
The typical ‘Landais’ village
of Sanguinet is just 800 metres from
the site and for days out you can visit Bordeaux
and even the Spanish border is less
than two hours away

Zoo de Bassin d'Arcachon

Ecomusée de La Grande Lande
This museum is situated in a natural park and gives an insight into how life
was in the region over the past centuries. There is a steam train for visitors

Parc Ornithalogique du Teich
Situated in the "bassin d'Arcachon", this area is an indispensable
stop for migratory birds travelling between Africa and Greenland. With over 80
species of birds all year and a further 180 migratory species taking refuge,
rest and feeding time. There are plenty of observation points to view the
birds.
